I agree with you on the isles! What is lou thinking? He has locked up the oldest NHL core possible for the long term. They are looking like the next Red Wings, especially when Barzal gets his next contract and they can't spend a penny for 4 years. Yikes.
Oh well tho, as a dev's fan I am fine with beating the bark off those guys for the next 5 years or so.

I mean letting Lehner go was a bit of a headscratcher, but was he supposed to let Eberle and Lee walk? He went after the best UFA, resigned his key ufas, the team didn't get better but I don't see anything outrageous with what Lou did.

He had a limited NTC; 8 or 10 teams I think. Nixed a trade to Calgary for Brodie

Really don't know why Lehner wasn't signed, would have thought he was behind Lee but ahead of Eberle and Nelson in terms of players they need back. Varlamov could turn out to be good but his recent years have been average.

How come you didn’t answer when I said just let Domi or Strome develop into the Coyotes 1C? Given their age there’s plenty of time for development. I’d hate to see them turn a future 1C in Domi into a 32 year old that’s going to have a hard let down soon. Your thoughts?

No one anywhere thinks Domi is or will ever be a 1C.

Strome.......I don't know. I wouldn't have traded him. Schmaltz seems just as good so far though.

28 goals and 72 points last year, I think you could start to argue he’s a 1C. When you guys got Stepan you were all saying you finally got a 1C and he had a career high 57 points. Your GM turned that into 32 year old Phil Kessel, your GM is terrible.
